Who is Drama Club for?

Drama Club is suitable for all children from Reception to Year 6 attending St John's C of E School.

It's particularly beneficial for children who:

  • Love acting, storytelling and imaginative play
  • Enjoy being creative
  • Would like to build confidence
  • Can be shy or quiet in group situations
  • Want to make new friends
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Would benefit from a positive, energetic start to the school day

No previous drama or performing arts experience is needed—everyone is welcome.

Building confidence through drama

Drama is about much more than performing.

Through fun, interactive activities, children naturally develop:

  • Confidence and self-esteem
  • Communication and speaking skills
  • Creativity and imagination
  • Listening and concentration
  • Teamwork and cooperation
  • Emotional awareness and empathy
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Resilience and independence

These are valuable skills that support children both inside and outside the classroom.

Supporting learning at school

Drama naturally complements the wider school curriculum.

Children develop clearer communication, stronger literacy skills, improved focus and greater classroom confidence, while also learning how to express ideas, solve problems creatively and work positively with others.

Many parents notice that the confidence children develop in drama carries through into everyday school life.

A safe and stress-free start to the day

We know that busy mornings can sometimes feel rushed, so we've designed Drama Club to fit seamlessly into the school routine.

Children are dropped off directly at the school reception by 8:10am.

They are supervised throughout the session in a safe and welcoming environment.

Reception and Year 1 children are escorted to their classrooms afterwards.

Older children are safely transitioned into the school day with their classmates.

Parents can head off to work knowing their child has already started the day smiling, engaged and ready to learn.

Why choose All Access Performing Arts?

At All Access Performing Arts, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to feel confident, valued and successful.

Our friendly, encouraging teaching style helps children develop at their own pace. We never pressure children to perform before they're ready—instead, we gently nurture confidence through fun, creativity and positive encouragement.

Above all, we want every child to leave each session feeling proud of themselves and excited to come back the following week.
