Based at St John's C of E School in Lacey Green near Princes Risborough, these exciting weekly classes offer more in-depth training in drama, dance and musical theatre, helping students develop confidence, creativity and performance skills while making lasting friendships and having fun.

What happens in a Shooting Stars class?

Students take part in dedicated weekly sessions in Drama, Dance and Musical Theatre, with lessons becoming more challenging and rewarding as their confidence and experience develop.

🎭 Drama

Students build on their acting skills through script work, improvisation, character development, storytelling and performance projects. As they progress, they also begin exploring devising their own performances, creating original characters and scenes, scriptwriting techniques and developing a deeper understanding of storytelling and stagecraft.

Older students are encouraged to think creatively, make artistic choices and develop the confidence to contribute their own ideas while working collaboratively with others.

💃 Dance

Our dance classes expose students to a wide variety of dance styles throughout the year, helping them become confident, versatile performers. Styles include:

Students combine singing, acting and movement to perform songs from a wide range of musical theatre productions. Does my child need previous experience?

No. Shooting Stars welcomes both newcomers and students who already have experience in performing arts.

Can my child choose which subjects they attend?

Yes! We offer complete flexibility.

Students can attend Drama, Dance or Musical Theatre individually for £5 per class, combine any two subjects, or enjoy the full performing arts experience by attending all three classes for just £13.

This flexible approach allows families to choose the option that best suits their child's interests while giving students the opportunity to experience all three disciplines if they wish.
