Can LAMDA Exams Help with University Applications and UCAS Points?
If your child is taking LAMDA exams, or thinking about starting, you may have heard that some LAMDA qualifications can earn UCAS Tariff points.
So, can LAMDA exams actually help with university applications?
Yes. Certain Level 3 LAMDA qualifications at Grades 6, 7 and 8 carry UCAS Tariff points and may contribute towards university entry requirements.
But UCAS points are only part of the story.

LAMDA stands for the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art.
Alongside its drama school training, LAMDA provides internationally recognised examinations in communication and performance.

Do LAMDA Exams Give You UCAS Points?
Yes – regulated LAMDA Level 3 qualifications at Grades 6, 7 and 8 can carry UCAS Tariff points.

This means that a student achieving a Distinction at Grade 8 could receive 30 UCAS Tariff points.
Students who complete more than one eligible LAMDA qualification at Grade 6 or above may also be able to claim points for each qualification.

Do Universities Accept LAMDA UCAS Points?
This depends on the university and the course.

Are LAMDA Exams Worth Doing?
For many young people, yes.
The UCAS Tariff points available at the higher grades are certainly a useful benefit, particularly for students thinking ahead to university.
